The Cardamom County is located in Thekkady, about 145 kilometres away from Madurai airport, 195 kilometres away from the Cochin airport, 140 kilometres away from the Madurai railway station and 110 kilometres away from the Kottayam railway station. A separate block devoted to Ayurveda exists here; Ayura is a beautiful building with a pond in front. You can see ducks enjoying their swim amidst clusters of bright hues lotuses. A huge chest of ayurvediic medicinal herbs and seeds is displayed at the entrance and the in house doctor here prescribes medicines that suit your query. Besides these, the trained masseurs (separate for men and women) in consultation with the doctors can revive you of any main or ailment. The therapies and rejuvenation packages are open not only to in house guests but to outsiders as well. The gymnasium located in a cottage has an open courtyard for the sunlight to pour in with highly mechanized work out machines placed around it. The same complex also has an activity centre (9:00 am - 10:00 pm) with a variety of games like carom, billiards, table tennis for the guests. The hotel also has 3 Conference Halls called Penny Cuick after the architect who designed the Periyar Lake Dam. Divided into Penny Cuick I, II and III, all the halls are well maintained and backed by a full-fledged secretarial service. The biggest hall can accommodate around 200 persons in theatre style, while the smaller two have a capacity of 40 and 30 persons respectively. The hotel also has the Ants curio shop, selling everything from t shirts and show pieces to books and jewellery. Next to the curio shop is a small library for guests to do some reading in peace. This hotel has 44 rooms divided into 31 Periyar Cottages, 11 County Cottages and 2 Suites. The cottages are spread along a stooping slope made pretty by the stone pathways, carpet grass and sweet smelling flowers. The Periyar Cottage houses a big room with a double bed and satellite television, dressing table, mini bar, sofa chairs and table, cupboard, umbrella, direct dial telephone etc. The bathroom is clean and spacious and has a shower area with amenities such as shampoo, soap, moisturizer, linen and a 24 hours supply of running hot and cold water. Each Periyar Cottage has 2 rooms with excellent view of the surrounding forest area. The Country Cottages house the deluxe rooms with the same structure and facilities as the Periyar Cottages only bigger in size with an additional bath tub and tea and coffee maker. Moreover, these cottages have traditional Kerala style furniture, giving the guests an opportunity to live the Kerlan way of life. The Suites are the highest category of rooms with a separate living and bedroom area. The living room has a sofa unit and a dining table set, while the bedroom has almost all the facilities provided in the Periyar rooms.

The hotel houses the All Spice multi cuisine restaurant with a seating capacity of 85 persons. The restaurant is big and airy with a lot of natural light percolating in. The furniture and the natural surrounding visible through the restaurant create a perfect ambience for enjoying your meals. The meals provided here are according to the meal plan taken by the guest, but the restaurant is open for breakfast (7:00 am-10:00 am), lunch (12:30 pm - 3:00 pm) and dinner (7:00 pm - 10:00 pm). The hotel also has a wine and beer bar here, which is located in a tree house like coup just above the pool.
